Prairie’s Edge Humane Society-the Best Place to Adopt A Pet
Animals available for adoption at PEHS have been brought to our shelter for any number of reasons.
Some are strays who have been brought in by a concerned animal lover; others are beloved pets whose owners can no longer care for them.
Every animal is evaluated immediately by our placement team according to standards established by veterinarians and shelter experts.
The animals on our adoption floor have been through some tough times; they eagerly await their forever homes!

Animals adopted from Prairie’s Edge Humane Society have received the following:
- a general physical examination upon intake
- initial vaccinations
- routine deworming
- Heartworm test (dogs)
- diagnosis and treatment of minor medical conditions
- spay/neuter surgery if not previously sterilized
Your adoption fee also includes:
